Oscar winner Mia Young is brutally assaulted and disfigured with acid on awards night, framed by her boyfriend Leo. For six years, Leo faked poverty, draining all her earnings to support his childhood sweetheart Serena. He orchestrated Mia’s ruin to clear Serena’s path to fame, drugging her to stop her scars healing and controlling her via his agency. Mia records their confessions and seeks help from media tycoon Julian. At their engagement party, she exposes their crimes live. Leo and Serena lose everything, their families’ empires collapse, and Leo is imprisoned with his hired thugs. After facial reconstruction, Mia stars in a film based on her story and wins a second Oscar, finding sincere love with Julian.
