Empress Of The Entertainment World

Empress Of The Entertainment World

General Zhen Guo's only daughter, Gu Jinyin, was married off to the emperor as a political pawn, ostensibly becoming the honored empress from a prestigious military family. However, in reality, she was a hostage kept by Emperor Xie Jun. Using alleged treason as pretext, the emperor exterminated the entire Gu family. The deputy general under General Zhen, and Gu Jinyin's childhood friend, Shao Yuming, led a palace coup, assassinating the emperor before committing suicide. After Gu Jinyin's death, she transmigrated to modern times, reincarnating as a minor celebrity in the entertainment industry. She discovers that the emperor she was betrothed to in her past life is none other than Xie Jun, while Xie Jun's brother is General Shao. Determined not to repeat the tragedies of her past life, Gu Jinyin, armed with her memories from her previous life, resolves to forge a different path.
