In the Northern Sea, two schools coexist—the sacred covenant of equal human-dragon bonds and the corrupt art that enslaves dragons. Four-time champion Kaelen was betrayed by his junior Lovell and the Elder Council; his Moonlight Spirit Dragon Frost shattered into pieces, and Kaelen fell. His remnant soul was reborn as Ailan, a "cursed" outcast boy, who swore to gather the fragments, seek revenge, and restore order. After unexpectedly bonding with Frost's reborn infant form, he won the trial championship. Along the way, he collected fragments and exposed crimes. Eventually, Frost fully recovered its strength.
